Fr. Lane was ordained a priest in 2007 and has subsequently served as Rector of St. Paul & the Redeemer in Hyde Park and as Executive Director of the ReVive Center for Housing and Healing, an Episcopal Charity serving the homeless. After a sojourn away from the church, Fr. Lane is grateful for renewed faith and for the opportunity to serve at Church of the Ascension. He has degrees from the University of Chicago, Princeton Theological Seminary, and General Seminary. In addition to his part-time work at the Church, Fr. Lane plays the cello, umpires high school baseball, and loves to swim in Lake Michigan. He has been married to his wife Erin for over 25 years, has one son in college and one in high school, and lives in the Kenwood neighborhood of Chicago.
