Ascension’s formation programs explore the riches of the Catholic faith, inviting participants to grow in faith, knowledge, and holiness. Throughout the program year, we offer a broad range of formation classes designed for people of all ages and stages of life, as well as those from a variety of church and non-church backgrounds. Formation classes are held on Sundays following the 11 a.m. Solemn High Mass. We invite you to join us for our upcoming formation opportunities and continue growing in faith with our community.

Anglicanism in the Time of Reformation

October 25, November 1 & November 8

The 16th and 17th centuries were a formative period in the life of the Church of England, as the English Reformation gave shape to the worship, theology, and music of the Anglican tradition. Over the course of three weeks, we will consider the people and works through which the Anglican tradition took shape, considering how the Book of Common Prayer, the work of William Tyndale, and the music of Orlando Gibbons continue to shape the life of the Church today. A hearty lunch will be provided.
